TADSON GLASS GRINDING TECHNICIANS PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO YOUR DESIRED END RESULT, ON PARTS LARGE OR SMALL.

Tadson brings you greater flexibility in component design and parts applications by being able to work with a full range of materials.
Below are just a few examples of the materials Tadson Inc. is able to work with.

Optical Glass – BK-7 BK-7 is manufactured by Schott Glass. It's an optical glass with high transmission and is virtually free of bubbles and inclusions. SGP can CNC mill, drill, cut, lap, and polish this material to many shapes, sizes, and surface finishes.
Filter Materials – Schott Color Filter Glass

Ranges of Glasses including blue/green for NVIS application, KG filter for heat absorption and RG filter for inferred filters.

Scott produces a range of color filter glasses, typically available up to 165mm x 165mm x 5mm thick. these glasses can be stacked and bonded, tempered for heat resistance and finished to an exact thickness to achieve a specific transmission.

Coatings may be added to tighten up a specification or to provide anti-reflection properties.

Low-expansion Materials – Corning: 0211 Microsheet® 0211 Microsheet is manufactured by Corning. It's a water-white glass which has approximately 50% as much soda as soda lime glass, a fire polished like finish, and comes in thicknesses as low as .0025" with very tight tolerances. SGP can CNC mill, cut, drill 0211 in many shapes and sizes.
Fused Quartz / Silica – Dynasil 1100 Dynasil 1100 is a fused silica material which is virtually bubble free. It has excellent transmission capabilities in the ultraviolet range. SGP can CNC mill, drill, cut, lap, and polish Dynasil 1100 in many sizes, shapes, and surface finishes.
Soda Lime Glass Soda lime, also known as AR / Flint or Float glass, contains both sodium and calcium and is formed by drawing the glass over molten tin baths or redrawing into rod or tubing. Because of its chemical properties, soda lime can also be chemically strengthened to harden the surface and make it more scratch and break resistant. SGP can lap, polish, form, cut, and chemically strengthen this material to many shapes, sizes, and surface finishes.
Ceramics – (incl. Alumina – and Zirconium-Oxide) Glass Ceramics are ceramics with glass-like properties. They are made in sheets like a ceramic and fired to make them transparent or semi-transparent. They have excellent thermal properties and are used in high heat applications. They also have a very low coefficient of thermal expansion which makes them stabile under wide swings of temperature. They are difficult to fabricate and are limited in thickness availability. Abrisa carries several types of glass-ceramics.

We will also offer technical assistance on glass fabrication problems – and make recommendations – when required. We are careful to protect the proprietary interests of our customers at all times; every aspect of your project, from design through completion, remains totally confidential.
